BuildMo Appoints Glenn Gaffney as President and Chairman to Accelerate Mission-Driven Innovation

Glenn Gaffney, President and Chairman of BuildMo

Buildmo today announced the appointment of Glenn Gaffney as President and Chairman, following his service as Managing Director since May 2025.

Mr. Gaffney brings more than three decades of leadership experience at the intersection of advanced technology, national security, talent development, and commercialization. Prior to entering the private sector, he served 31 years in the U.S. Intelligence Community, holding senior leadership roles including Director of Science and Technology at the Central Intelligence Agency, Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Collection, and Associate Director of the CIA for Talent. Across these roles, he led the creation and scaling of mission-critical capabilities spanning technical collection, space and advanced weapons analysis, information operations, and identity intelligence—frequently transforming early-stage technical concepts into enduring operational advantage.

Mr. Gaffney assumes the role at a pivotal moment for Buildmo, as the company enters a period of growth and strategic realignment. Buildmo is preparing to launch a hardware-focused incubator and accelerator while continuing to expand its core capabilities as a technology integrator and rapid prototyping partner for government, industry, and emerging markets.

Before joining Buildmo, Mr. Gaffney served as Executive Vice President and Senior Fellow at In-Q-Tel (IQT) from 2017 to 2022, where he worked closely with founders, investors, and government partners to accelerate the transition of emerging technologies from research into deployed, mission-relevant solutions.

Throughout his career, Mr. Gaffney has been recognized with two Presidential Rank Awards, two National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medals, three CIA Director's Awards, and two CIA Distinguished Service Medals, reflecting sustained leadership in building high-impact teams and breakthrough capabilities.

An engineering sciences graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Mr. Gaffney will focus on expanding Buildmo's role as a platform for venture creation, capability development, and talent-driven growth, helping partners move faster from idea to impact across government, industry, and emerging markets.
